Resizing and repairing fine jewelry require a delicate blend of craftsmanship, precision, and experience. Our jewelers repair or replace your broken pieces like clasps, chains, or settings. Rings need prong restoration after years of wear to keep loose gemstones and diamonds in place. Our jewelers also repair broken chains or bands and replace lost stones.
DEEP CLEANING
Every piece purchased from Carter's recieves a complimentary, annual deep cleaning! We also clean pieces that have not been purchased from our store with a service charge. A deep cleaning enhances the appearance of the jewelry and helps maintain its longevity by identifying and addressing potential issues early.
 
What happens during a deep cleaning at Carter's?
 
  • Inspection: The jeweler examines the piece to identify any loose stones, worn prongs, or other potential issues needing repair.

 

  • Ultrasonic & Steam Cleaning: The ultrasonic cleaner is a device that uses high-frequency sound waves to dislodge dirt and grime from hard-to-reach areas. After ultrasonic cleaning, the jeweler steams your piece to blast away any remaining grime, leaving it sparkling clean.

 

  • Polishing: The jeweler will polish the piece to remove scratches and restore its shine. White gold jewelry, recieves a rhodium plating to restore its luster.

 

  • Final Inspection: The jeweler inspects the cleaned piece to ensure all stones are secure and the piece looks its best before it's ready for everyday wear again!
