Chae + Drew's New Orleans Wedding Pt. 3: The Reception

Following the legendary Second Line parade, guests entered the joyful procession to the Pontchartrain Hotel. As they stepped into the Parlor Room, they were greeted by an enchanting atmosphere, where exposed brick walls and crystal chandeliers created a dark and moody yet sophisticated vibe, perfectly matching Chae and Drew's New Orleans wedding vision.

The Parlor Room at the Pontchartrain Hotel is a captivating space that exudes charm and elegance, reflective of the city's rich cultural heritage. Located in the historic Garden District, the hotel itself is a landmark, originally opening its doors in 1927. The Parlor Room, nestled within this iconic hotel, is designed for relaxation, socializing, and special events.

The room is decorated with a blend of classic and contemporary styles, featuring plush seating, rich fabrics, and intricate details that pay homage to the grandeur of old New Orleans. The décor often includes vintage artwork, chandeliers, and period furniture, creating an ambiance that is both luxurious and welcoming. Large windows allow natural light to flood the space, highlighting the fine craftsmanship and attention to detail.

Cocktails flowed, and the air buzzed with excitement as friends and family mingled before settling in for a sumptuous dinner. True New Orleans cuisine, masterfully prepared by the hotel’s award-winning Jack Rose Restaurant, graced the tables, while the Hot Tin Bar provided champagne and signature cocktails.

The reception bloomed with vibrant floral centerpieces that echoed Chae’s stunning bouquet, thanks to the creative collaboration between Kimberly Quinlivan (@floralgirl.kimberly) and Blooms Floral Company of Hattiesburg, MS (@bloomscompany). Blooms also crafted Chae's gorgeous bouquet. The traditional two-tier white wedding cake, baked by Terry Monk, also included florals that complimented the room.

As the evening unfolded, the newlyweds and their guests hit the dance floor. The live band, "C-quence," filled the night with lively tunes, and the celebration continued. Guests found delight in unique experiences, from tarot card readings to caricatures by Bill Horaist.

As the night came to a close and the dance floor cleared, Chae and Drew knew this was a day they would never forget. It was more than just a day—it was a celebration of love, friendship, and the vibrant spirit of New Orleans. From the months of planning to the heartfelt moments shared, every detail came together to create memories that will be cherished for a lifetime. Cheers to Chae and Drew, and to a lifetime of cherished memories!Â
