Chae’s journey began in 2008 when she joined her mother, Judy Carter, in the family business. In 2014, she took the reins, transforming Carter’s Jewelry into Carter’s Collective Fine Jewelry—a vibrant, trend-forward destination known for its signature Bloom Engagement Ring Collection and curated gemstone selections from around the world.
Under Chae’s leadership, Carter’s Collective has become a cornerstone of the Hattiesburg and Petal communities. Her vision blends tradition with modern design, offering both natural and lab-grown diamonds to reflect every couple’s love story. In 2022, she expanded the store, unveiling a new Diamond Suite and rebranding to Carter’s Collective Fine Jewelry.
Fall 2025, Chae and the team at Carter's Collective are bringing you a brand new experience with the completion of the Hattiesburg, Mississippi location. The renovations are almost complete on transforming the former Wells Fargo building in west Hattiesburg into Carter's new home. The grand opening is just around the corner, and what you need to know is, expect the unexpected!
